“In You, My Forever Found Me” (For My Girl with Rosy Cheeks)
Introduction : Love doesn’t always arrive with grand gestures — sometimes, it comes softly, in laughter shared under a pink sky, in silence that speaks louder than words. “In You, My Forever Found Me” is a heartfelt poem about two souls discovering the beauty of love in its simplest form — playful, pure, and deeply human. It captures the innocence of young romance, the warmth of real connection, and that one person who turns ordinary days into poetry. Every line is a memory, every stanza a heartbeat — written for the girl with rosy cheeks who made forever feel real.
“In You, My Forever Found Me”
(For My Girl with Rosy Cheeks)
Love is not just a word we say —
It’s the breath that turns our night to day.
It’s the spark that lights the heart’s dark skies,
The dream that wakes behind closed eyes.
It’s not a story the poets rehearse,
It’s the soul’s own rhythm, the universe.
A storm, a calm, a whispered prayer —
A feeling so rare, so beyond compare.
It makes you laugh, it makes you cry,
It lifts you high without asking why.
It’s calm and sweet like evening tea,
Yet it’s the reason life’s dear to me.
When love happened, life turned bright,
Every day started feeling right.
In my movie, I’m the hero inside,
But Maryam’s the queen by my side.
The day she came, my world was new,
Even the skies turned softer blue.
My friends would tease, “You’re not the same,”
They didn’t know — love changed my name.
How could I stay the same old guy,
When an angel walked beneath my sky?
She came and colors filled my view,
Even the moon felt shy and new.
When I see her, time stands still,
Her smile can cure the hardest will.
Her eyes are oceans, deep and wide,
I’d lose myself and not mind the tide.
When she’s angry, cheeks turn rose,
Even that sight, my heart still knows.
I wish she’d stay that way awhile,
Just so I could see that smile.
“My friends tease me with your name,” I’d say,
“But still, I love you more each day.”
She’d laugh and say, “Mine tease me too,
But hearing your name feels warm and true.”
I’d grin and say, “Then let them tease,
Each time they do, your heart feels ease.”
She’d roll her eyes, “You silly boy,”
And I’d turn her anger into joy.
One day I missed her, fate had its say,
My college work pulled me away.
Next day I found her silent, torn,
Eyes mixed with pain and a little scorn.
“I thought you’d come,” her voice was low,
And I said, “Forgive me, I couldn’t go.”
She asked, “What’s more important, me or degree?”
I smiled, “Both — but you’re life to me.”
Her lips curved faintly, her anger fled,
“You’re more dramatic than films,” she said.
“What can I do?” I laughed again,
“You’re my movie — joy and pain.”
After that, each day was ours,
Tea stalls, benches, evening hours.
Her dupatta danced, her laughter free,
Every moment was poetry to me.
“You praise me too much,” she’d shyly say,
“You make me blush in your silly way.”
And I’d reply, “When you blush, my dear,
The world itself feels brighter here.”
Then came the sunset, calm and wide,
The moment I’d kept so long inside.
She walked in soft light, calm and fair,
And love was waiting in the air.
“Maryam,” I said, “you’re all I adore,
Without you, my life means no more.
You’re my peace, my smile, my light,
Be my forever — my day and night.”
Her eyes grew wet, her lips did part,
She whispered, “You already have my heart.”
“Yes, Shahzad,” she said, “I love you too,”
And in that second, the world felt new.
Our friends jumped out, began to cheer,
“The king found his queen! The wait ends here!”
I laughed and said, “You all agree?”
They cheered, “It’s love, we all can see!”
We laughed till the evening softly died,
While she leaned gently by my side.
The air turned sweet, the stars looked near,
And peace replaced my every fear.
If life ever gave me beauty to see,
It’s Maryam — my heart’s own key.
Her smile, her anger, her gentle plea —
Everything about her is the world to me.
And it always will be.

Author’s Note (Summary) :
Love — it’s not just a four-letter word. It’s the beginning of a whole new life, a journey that changes everything. It’s that one rare season that visits the heart only once — when the soul learns to smile without a reason. Not everyone gets to taste it, and those who do are truly the lucky ones. Because love isn’t just sweet — it’s sweet, sour, and spicy all at once; like a cup of tea on a rainy evening. It makes you laugh, it makes you cry, it drives you crazy — but it also makes life worth living.
When love happened to me, life started feeling like a movie — and in that movie, I was the hero. But there was only one heroine — Maryam.
The day she entered my life, everything changed. Even my friends noticed. They said, “Shahzad, you’re not the same anymore.” And they were right — because when a beautiful angel walks into your world, how can anything stay the same? Suddenly, everything looked brighter. Even the moon seemed shy, the wind playful, and the air full of melody. Whenever I looked at her, time seemed to stop. When she smiled, all my tiredness and worries simply vanished.
Her eyes — I could get lost in them forever and never wish to find my way back. And even when she got a little angry, it looked so adorable that my heart secretly hoped she’d stay mad a little longer — just so I could keep watching the blush rise on her cheeks.
One day, I told her, “My friends tease me with your name.” She laughed softly, and I added, “But every time I hear it, I just end up loving you even more.” Maryam smiled and said, “My friends also tease me with your name. But honestly, every time they say it, my heart feels happy.” I grinned and said, “Then let them tease us all they want — because every time you hear ‘Shahzad,’ your heart smiles!” She rolled her eyes, pretending to be annoyed. “You always turn everything into a joke,” she said. I replied, “It’s not a joke, madam. It’s romance! Making you laugh is my favorite habit.”
But love, as sweet as it is, also tests you sometimes. One day, I couldn’t meet her because I had a college assignment to finish. I thought I’d explain it the next day. When I finally met her in the park, she was quiet — her eyes a mix of pain and anger. “I thought you’d come,” she said softly. I apologized, “Maryam, I’m sorry. I had to finish my assignment or I’d fail.” She frowned a little, “Was your assignment more important, or me?” I smiled and said, “Both are important — but if I failed the assignment, I’d lose my degree… and if I lost you, I’d lose my life.”
For a second, she stayed silent, then tried to hide her smile. “You’re more dramatic than the movies,” she said. I laughed, “What can I do? You’re like a movie yourself — every scene feels incomplete without you.” Her laughter filled the air again, and her anger melted away like ice under the sun.
From then on, we met almost every day — sometimes at the tea stall, sometimes at our favorite park bench under the old banyan tree. We’d talk about everything and nothing. I’d tease her about the golden strands of her hair, the sparkle in her eyes, or the way her dupatta slipped from her shoulder. Everything about her felt like a story I never wanted to end.
“Shahzad, you praise me too much,” she would say shyly. I’d reply, “When you blush, the whole world lights up.”
Then came that evening — the most beautiful one of my life. The sun was setting, painting the sky pink and gold. A soft breeze carried the scent of roses through the park. I had made up my mind — today, I would finally say everything that had lived in my heart for so long.
Maryam arrived, wearing a simple shalwar kameez, her dupatta fluttering lightly in the wind. There was that same calm glow in her eyes — the one that could melt the hardest heart. My pulse raced, but I smiled and said, “Maryam, I need to tell you something.”
She giggled, “Another filmy line?”
I shook my head. “No. This one’s straight from the heart.”
I went down on one knee and said, “Maryam, from the day you came into my life, you became my life. Every moment without you feels incomplete. I think about you all the time — your name lives in my heart, your smile cures my sadness. I love you deeply, and I know your heart feels the same. So come to me — let’s make this love our forever. Will you be the girl of my life? Will you marry me?”
Tears sparkled in her eyes as she smiled softly. “I’ve been waiting for you to say this,” she whispered. “And my answer is what you already know — yes, Shahzad. I love you too.”
As I stood up, she placed her hand in mine. Suddenly, our friends — who had been hiding behind the trees all along — jumped out cheering and clapping. “Finally!” they shouted. “The king got his queen!” I laughed, “Really?” One of them shouted back, “Yes! You two are made for each other!”
Maryam hid her face shyly against my shoulder as everyone clapped and teased us. The sky above glowed like a blessing, the air felt fragrant, and in that moment, I realized — this was the love people dream about.
If life ever gave me something truly beautiful, it was Maryam — her smile, her kindness, her forgiveness, her love. She is my world, my peace, my forever.
